Citizenship and Immigration Canada launches online widget to improve communications with immigrants and service providers

Ottawa, January 25, 2012 — After the overwhelming success of the Come To Canada wizard, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) today launched yet another tool to better serve partners, service organizations and mission sites around the world.

The “What’s new at CIC” widget allows users to add an application featuring content from the CIC website onto their own website, blog or social media page.  People interested in immigration issues or involved in the business of immigration can stay informed with automatic updates from the department.

“What’s new at CIC” offers easy access to the news feed, and popular tools and information such as the “Come to Canada” wizard, tips on how to avoid crooked immigration consultants and an interactive map of immigrant services.
