Canada’s refugee resettlement commitments around the world

Around the world about 100,000 refugees are resettled each year. Of that, Canada resettles approximately 11,000 to 13,000. This means that Canada resettles on average one out of every 10 refugees globally through its government-assisted and privately sponsored refugee programs.
