July 31, 2015 — Ottawa — Multicultural events in Canada may now receive as much as $25,000 through Inter-Action, Minister for Multiculturalism Jason Kenney announced today.
Applicants for events that meet Inter-Action program criteria will see the maximum possible amount of funding available for each eligible event increase from $15,000 to $25,000. This increase will allow applicants to organize more effective events that will reach larger audiences.

- The Inter-Action program has two streams: events and projects. The events stream accepts applications year-round.
- Funding through Inter-Action can now support events whose total budgets do not exceed $100,000.
