Mon Projet Québec System Experiences Technical Glitches Upon Scheduled Opening for new Submissions

The Mon projet Québec application management system, a new secure online space for managing applications to the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) for immigration to Canada, has been experiencing significant technical problems through the morning of February 16, 2016.

This day was due to be the first day the program would accept the submission of new applications from candidates who had registered an account in Mon projet Québec between January 5 and January 25, the period during which it was possible to create an account in the system. The Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI), the government ministry overseeing immigration to Quebec government of Quebec, had previously stated that as of February 16, 2016, at 8:30 a.m. EST (Montreal time), all candidates who have a Mon projet Québec account and who have completed their application would be able to submit it by clicking the submission button.

However, a new message was posted on the government of Quebec’s website less than two hours after the system was scheduled to open for new applications.

The English version states: Due to a technical failure, Mon project Québec is not on line. To be fair to all applicants, the Ministère will announce the opening of the system at least 24 hours in advance.

The French version states: Un bris technique a empêché la mise en ligne de Mon projet Québec. Par souci d’équité pour tous les candidats, Le Ministère annoncera l’ouverture du système au minimum 24 heures à l’avance.

It can now be confirmed that the system did not open at 8.30 a.m. and it was not possible for candidates to submit an application.

Updates to any further changes in the QSWP/Mon projet Québec will be posted in the news section on CanadaVisa.com as and when they occur.
